History
In 1994, Marcia G. Taylor, owner of Bennett International Group, was challenged with the thought that Bennett needed to be in the manufactured housing business.
A year later, Danny Lowry was named president of Bennett Truck Transport (BTT). In 1997, Marcia and Ted contacted Fred Auletta of Pride Lines in Elkhart, IN with the idea of merging the two companies, and Fred came aboard as Bennett’s corporate Chief Financial Officer.
Through the years, BTT acquired the assets of several other transport companies through strategic acquisitions. Barrett Transport, Morgan DriveAway and West Star Systems bolstered BTT’s ranks. Barrett Transport became a part of BTT in 1999, bringing years of quality customer service and experience with them. With the purchase of BTT’s biggest competitor Morgan DriveAway and West Star Systems in 2002, BTT has become the number one carrier of manufactured housing and RV’s in the United States.
Today Chris Barrett is the current President of BTT. The company has grown into the industry’s leading Manufactured home transporters nationwide. Each facility is commited to making a positive difference in the towable transportation communinity.
