Bennett International Group, LLC

History

Bennett International Group, LLC history is a great story about how a small company can flourish into an industry leader with the right people behind the wheel. Bennett consists of several different companies that specialize in ever aspect of transport.

Bennett’s start was rather small. In 1974, Marcia G. Taylor and her late husband, J.D. Garrison, purchased George Bennett Motor Express, which was a small contract carrier with only two customers and five trucks. More than 30 years later, Bennett has grown into international, full-service transportation company with thousands of clients across the globe.

Bennett’s success is reflected in the numerous awards acquired through the years including consecutive years of top rankings in Transport Topics’ annual Top 100 transport carriers listing, Ryder Carrier Management’s 1998 carrier of the year, and Mrs. Taylor’s award as Georgia’s female entrepreneur of the year from Venture Magazine. In 2003, Bennett ranked as the nation’s 107th largest woman-owned company in the Georgia’s second largest woman-owned company.

Mrs. Taylor attributes Bennett’s success to the company’s employees, agents, customers, and owner/operators.
