December 2017 – Ace Doran Monthly Newsletter

From the Desk of Jim Collins

Season’s Greetings from Cincinnati!

It is hard to believe I am writing comments for the December newsletter. It seems like only weeks ago I was writing about the coming of Independence Day and how it serves as a reminder to each of us just how lucky we are to be Americans! And now it is suddenly time to reflect about Christmas – another day that reminds me how lucky we are to live in this country. Our freedom to worship as we choose is a very special gift – one that millions of people around the world don’t have the luxury of enjoying. It is gift that has been fought for and many lives have been sacrificed for it. May we never take it for granted and never forget those that sacrificed to preserve the political and religious freedoms that we enjoy.

Unfortunately, with the coming of the Holiday Season also comes winter weather and treacherous driving conditions. I urge all of you to please be careful and use good judgement. If you deem conditions are too unsafe to operate your vehicle in a safe manner please find a safe place to pull over. Your life and your personal safety, and the lives and personal safety of those who we share the roadway with, are the most important thing. There is no load that is worth putting your safety or the safety of the motoring public in jeopardy. If delayed by weather it is imperative that you keep your agent / dispatcher / coordinator apprised of your situation to ensure that we can communicate accurate information and expectations to the customer. Thank you for your continued focus on safety.

Thank you for all of the hard work that you do every day. We are very proud to have each and every one of you as a member of the Ace Doran family. May God continue to bless and protect you in your travels each day.

Merry Christmas!

Jim Collins – President
