Bennett Motor Express Names Drivers of the Year for General Freight and Heavy Haul Divisions
ATLANTA—Oct. 28, 2008
Tim Weber, a Frederick, OK- based owner/operator and Jerry Johnson of Tazewell, TN were named Bennett Motor Express’ (BME) 2007 Drivers of the Year for the General Freight and Heavy Haul divisions, respectively.
Weber leased on to BME’ General Freight division in September 2005, while Johnson became an owner/operator with the specialized freight transporter’s Heavy Haul division in January 2004.
The two winners were selected from among BME’s nearly 700 owner/operators. Nominees were evaluated based on their safe driving history and total number of years driving. Weber and Johnson will each receive prizes including a plaque and custom apparel.
