Loves: Harvey Update 8/31 AM

Dear Love’s Customer –

Harvey Update 08/31 AM

Current snapshot (attached) of DIESEL & UNLEADED inventory levels throughout the regions impacted by the hurricane and resulting supply tightness. Due to further supply constraints, we experienced the following store level outages since the last update: #471 Natalia (2 hrs), #284 Edinburg (2 hrs), #217 Sanger (2 hrs), and #342 Three Rivers (1 hr).

Colonial Pipeline “Line 2 – Diesel” was shut down last night due to the effects of Harvey on refineries in East Texas and Louisiana. They have plans to potentially shut down “Line 1 – Gas” for testing as well. This situation is still evolving this morning.
Supply continues to get tighter as we could not get loaded overnight on product at select terminals in DFW, San Antonio, and Houston. Terminals involved were all ones we have loaded at since the start of the storms.
To compound the situation, we coming up against monthly allocations of supply with today being August 31st.
We’re aware that competitor stations in Texas are beginning to run out of out of gasoline and diesel. We expect panic buying to increase over the next 36 hours and are keeping an eye on it. We’ll communicate anything we see on our end with the field.
Supply Points Closed: None

Store Operation Changes : #617 Hungerford is the last store down.

loren: Fuel Manager Services Inc. "Serving the trucking industry since 1992" I've been in and around the trucking industry for 45-years beginning in owner operator operations at Willis Shaw Express. I bought a small trucking company that I ran for 6-years then sold and went to work for J.B. Hunt Transport in 1982. After 10-years with Hunt, I started Fuel Manager Services, Inc., we are in our 29th year of serving the American trucking companies. Our simple goal was and is to bridge the gap between the trucking companies and the fuel suppliers.
