- U.S. crude inventories fell by 6.1 million barrels in the week to July 20, according to government data, compared with expectations for a decrease of 2.3 million barrels.
- Yemen’s Houthi movement attacked a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, causing slight damage.
- Oil prices have come under pressure this month as U.S. trade disputes have raised the possibility of slower economic growth.
