Taylor Family Foundation Sponsors 2018 American Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

(MCDONOUGH, GA) – The Taylor Family Foundation sponsored the largest wheelchair tournament in the country last month. The tournament was held April 26 – April 29 at Richard Craig Park in McDonough, GA.

Over 80 athletes played in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Wheelchair Tournament last year. However, this year, the tournament drew over 100+ players from all across the country, including military veteran players as well.

Players, family and fans alike came out to enjoy beautiful weather, amazing food and true southern hospitality. Formerly known as the Geranium Festival Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, this event has grown into a Category III level tournament. As a result, it is now worth 450 National ranking points.

This particular tournament is also part of the Georgia Wheelchair Grand Prix series, which leads up to the USTA Georgia Wheelchair State Championship held in the fall.
