Bennett & BOSS Slug Catchers Transport Featured in ACT Magazine

Bennett Motor Express recently teamed up with Boss Crane & Rigging to transport two massive slug catchers from Houston, TX to Orla, TX. The entire operation took 4 days to travel 598 miles and some night driving was required for parts of the move. The story reports that each slug catcher weighed in at 410, 000 pounds and measured 80 feet long, 8 feet wide and 11 feet tall.

Bennett’s sister company, Boss Crane & Rigging, provided 8 crane riggers and operators for each slug catcher, helping to lift the equipment from the truck and onto the mounting stands for installation using a 330-ton capacity Liebherr LR 1300SX crawler crane.

President of Boss Crane & Rigging, David Cowley, stated “Our motto at Boss Crane & Rigging is ‘Safety is Priority One. We completed the project with complete success and the result was a happy customer.” This collaborative effort helped highlight the true spirt of teamwork that exists between Bennett and its other lines of business to continue driving success.
