Truist Partners With Bennett to Support Wreaths Across America
October 21, 2022
MCDONOUGH, GA (October 21, 2022) – The Bennett Family of Companies is excited to partner with the Truist Financial Corporation (Truist) for this year’s fundraising efforts for Wreaths Across America, an organization whose primary objective honors deceased veterans during the Christmas season.
Entering its sixth year with Wreaths Across America, Bennett’s annual goal is to generate funds to ensure every gravesite at Andersonville National Cemetery has a wreath to honor fallen heroes. For the first time last year, Bennett secured over 20,300 wreaths to meet its goal of covering every gravesite with a tribute wreath during the Christmas holiday.
Boasting numerous veteran employees, drivers and agents, Bennett has proudly supported Wreaths Across America with trucking assistance as well. Throughout December, Bennett employees gather and deliver wreaths for National Wreaths Across America Day. The wreaths are transported from Columbia Falls, Maine to Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Georgia.
To work towards surpassing this year’s goal, Bennett and Truist cobranded a 53 foot semi-trailer dedicated to Wreaths Across America. The trailer will travel the Southeast as part of Bennett’s fleet to spread awareness about Wreaths Across America and to encourage individuals to contribute to its mission.

“Truist is a valuable partner of the Bennett Family of Companies, and we could not be prouder to have their help this year to spread awareness about Wreaths Across America and their mission. We feel confident that with their support, we will succeed in meeting this year’s fundraising goal.”
said David Pittman, President and CFO of Bennett Family of Companies
“So much of what our veterans have given to this country is foundational to who we are. At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities, and remembering those who have inspired us with their dedication and sacrifices is important. We’re honored to partner with the Bennett Family of Companies to ensure that veterans are never forgotten and that we commemorate their memory at national cemeteries throughout our footprint during the holiday season.”
said David Weaver, Chief Commercial Community Banking Officer for Truist
With Truist headquartered in Charlotte, the semi-trailer made its first appearance at a nearby Truist Cannon Boulevard Branch, 970 S. Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083 during race weekend on October 5-9, 2022. The branch location was near the Charlotte Motor Speedway, giving the influx of race fans the opportunity to learn about the Wreaths Across America mission.
Wreaths Across America was also featured on the paint scheme of the No. 21, Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet Camaro driven by Austin Hill in the NASCAR Xfinity Series during The Drive for the Cure 250 on Saturday October 8th.
