The new Atlanta stadium will be an iconic landmark for the city of Atlanta and state of Georgia, and Bennett International Group, LLC. is helping to make this new landmark a reality. Bennett has been selected as a subcontractor for the role of providing the transport of structural steel and related construction materials to and from the various locations in the U.S., including the Atlanta Falcons new stadium site in Atlanta, Georgia.

The images below are Bennett transporting loose steel beams for Canam that will be welded together to create the larger trusses to support the roof of the new Atlanta Falcons stadium. The beams range from 40-73′ long and 15,000-49,000 pounds in weight. Bennett’s first loads picked-up was in Savannah, GA then transported to multiple location for steel fabrication in South Carolina, Arkansas, and Georgia. After pieces are welded to create large Trusses, finished trusses will be transported to the final destination at the New Stadium Site in Atlanta, Georgia.

After 32 years Len Johnson, president of Bennett Motor Express, is hanging up his cowboy hat and retiring. On Dec. 15 a reception was held in his honor at the Hilton Garden Inn in McDonough.

Wine Tasting, networking, tailgating, Dale Carnegie Sales Training, and the annual awards banquet were among the highlights at Bennett International Group’s 36th Annual Symposium held Feb. 4 through 7 at the Chậteau Élan Winery and Resort. More than 400 Bennett agents and employees participated in the three-day event.

The American Trucking Association designates one week per year as National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Bennett International Group, LLC celebrated along with the rest of the country by holding Drivers Appreciation Week festivities throughout the third week of September. Staff and leaders at the company spent the days celebrating those who sacrifice so much to keep freight moving on the open road.

On July 13, approximately 65 children of Bennett employees, boarded a bus at the Bennett home office in McDonough, Georgia – their destination – Old Town, Florida where Camp Anderson was transformed into Camp Bennett for the week.

Bennett International Group was invited to attend Locust Grove Elementary career day May 7th, 2015. Hundreds of kindergarten, first graders and second graders toured one of our step-deck trailers and learned some valuable information about trucking from our Owner Operator, Carl Nelson and Dispatcher, J.R. Aug. 31, 2014 was a hot, steamy day in South Georgia and the loud hum of the motors reached a deafening crescendo as the cars raced around the 1.54 mile quad oval track. Edgar Strader and his wife, Linda, sat in the stands mesmerized as the drivers whizzed by. Just seeing the cars and knowing that inside at the wheel sat some of the best and well-known drivers of our time only added to their excitement. The Straders watched as Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Danica Patrick, and Linda’s favorite driver, Kevin Harvick, took to the track, and they felt the exhilarating rush from the speed of the cars and the noise of the crowd around them.

As a professional, rarely do you see yourself walking into your office in a suit and tie only to walk out a few hours later covered in sweat, dirt, and grime. But that’s exactly what former NFL running back and now motivational speaker, Derrick Moore, implied during a recent training session for agents of Bennett International Group.
There are some instances when normal might be good. For example, on a recent trip to the doctor and to hear your blood pressure and blood work is normal – that’s a good thing. But when it comes to business, David Salyers, vice president of local, regional, and national marketing for Chick-fil-A and coauthor of the book, “Remarkable,” said that normal simply isn’t good enough.

On October 13th 2013, Bennett lost a dear friend and former employee of 23 years, Teddy Ingram. Teddy worked as Bennett’s valued and dedicated shop manager. Prior to his untimely departure, Teddy was awarded the Unsung Hero Award by Henry County Fire Department for initiating the chain of survival that would later prove to be lifesaving for an Eastman man who collapsed with heart failure in Bennett’s parking lot.

Former Bennett Drive Away driver, Dan Rodgers drove for Bennett up until a year ago, but while he enjoyed delivering trucks and RVs, he harbored a strong passion for writing. In between his 11 hour breaks of service, Dan would write feverishly until he was called to go back on the road. When his mother was diagnosed with cancer, he stopped driving for Bennett in order to care for her.
