“Over the years we’ve seen a need for crane, lifting and rigging services and our customers have expressed interest, so the opportunities were there,” Lowry said. “We thought about it for a long time and when the facility became available in Longview, Texas that had previously housed a crane operation and with the customer base already there, we decided to take advantage of it.”
The Longview location is strategically located a half mile off I-20 in east Texas, and after having a Bennett Motor Express location nearby, Lowry said it’s already a significant traffic lane for Bennett.
BOSS’s initial equipment includes two Grove TMS 9000 E 110 ton class cranes that offer a 5-section full-power megaform boom that eliminates weight and increases capacity, a Grove GMK 5165 165 ton class all-terrain crane from Germany, two 300L 350 ton class cranes known for operator comfort and stability, and a Grove GMK 7550 550 ton class hydraulic mobile crane that when fully extended has a 475 foot reach. Services offered will support regional industries such as oil and gas, construction, pulp and paper, mining, power generation, petrochemical and more.
