(MCDONOUGH, GA., November 9, 2018) – The Women in Trucking Association (WIT) announced that Bennett International Group has been recognized as a Top 50 Transportation Company for Women to Work For by Redefining the Road magazine.
According to Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road, there are five key features that distinguish companies recognized on this list: corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.
“This newly created award is driven by the marketplace, and the sheer number of individuals in the industry who participated in the process is incredible,” said Everett. Nearly 150 nominations were received, and more than 7,000 votes were cast to identify the companies named to the list, according to Everett.
Bennett Founder and CEO, Marcia G. Taylor, herself recognized as 2014’s Influential Woman in Trucking by the association took women’s advancement in logistics to a new level with a variety of initiatives. The cornerstone of the effort is Bennett’s Women in the Driver’s Seat program. The program recognizes women drivers for exemplary service, offers networking opportunities for female logistics team members, and generates pride amongst all female employees at Bennett through motivational speakers and apparel programs.

Bennett is a Top 50 Company for Women to Work for in Transportation 2018. Lynette Alt Mathis and Judy King receive the award at the 2018 WIT Accelerate! Conference
“We’re thankful to be recognized by such a wonderful organization that advocates for women in our industry. Women in Trucking is doing their part to elevate trucking and logistics as great industries for women to thrive in,” said Marcia Taylor. “This Top 50 Award will help tell our prospective female drivers and employees that we value their contributions in our company.”
Bennett was recognized during a special program at the Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference & Expo, which took place in Dallas, Texas.
