New Grant Aims to Support Family Values, Senior Citizens, and Community Initiatives
ATLANTA, Feb.22, 2012
The family of Bennett International Group co-founder and CEO Marcia G. Taylor has established The Taylor Foundation to provide project and general support grants to community organizations committed to family values throughout the United States.
“We are a family-owned, faith-based company with a community focus,” said Taylor. “This Foundation gives us an opportunity to personally contribute to nonprofit organizations that are making a positive difference in the lives of our children, elderly and underserved communities.”
Specifically, the new competitive grant program will be available quarterly to 501©3 nonprofit organizations that support children, senior citizens, or those agencies that impact the lives of Bennett employees or Taylor family members.
Nonprofits interested in funding must complete a Taylor Foundation application and submit all required documents by mail. A grant committee led by Mrs. Taylor will select recipients on a quarterly basis.
“We’ve received so many blessing since our parents founded this company more than 37 years ago, and as a family-owned company, we think its important that future generations can continue our commitment to supporting nonprofits that strengthen families,” said Lynette Alt Mathis, Taylor’s daughter and Vice President of Supplier Diversity and Marketing with Bennett International Group.
