MCDONOUGH, GEORGIA., (April 7, 2020) –– Bennett owner operator, Jim Cutshall, with the DriveAway RV/Pickup Division is considered a highway hero during this time by helping to keep America’s freight rolling.
On April 2, 2020, Cutshall delivered Kohler Company’s 42-foot Relief Showering Trailer to New York City. This delivery will be used as a showering resource for health care professionals and volunteers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic at the Javits Center, which has been converted into a 1,200-bed temporary field hospital. Kohler is a Bennett customer and a global leader in kitchen and bath products and power systems.
“We are very proud to be able to help with relief efforts in New York City and work with Kohler in order to get the job done. I’m so thankful for all of our drivers out on the road right now that continue to deliver freight for our country. We remain vigilant with our safety procedures while moving freight,” said Marcia Taylor, President & CEO of the Bennett Family of Companies.
The KOHLER Relief Showering Trailer includes seven showering stalls in addition to a changing room and equipment room with washer and dryer for clothing. The trailer is also outfitted with sinks, faucets, charging outlets for mobile devices and flat-panel televisions so workers can stay up-to-date on news and ongoing relief efforts.
In addition, the Kohler Relief Showering Trailer focuses on supporting relief workers in disaster zones. The trailer’s first deployment came after Hurricane Florence that struck North Carolina in September 2018. Since then, the trailer has provided nearly 3,000 showers across the U.S., supporting hurricane relief volunteers in Florida and those fighting wildfires in California.
